Excessively Bloody games: what's the deal?
I have noticed that 3 out of every 5 games I play are so excessively bloody. I don't know if blood is a turn-on for people, or it keeps them focused, but for me I don't need all the extra "graphics" just give me an option to turn it off. I know the outcome when someone gets stabbed I don't need it overly expressed. One game caught me by surprise, Fairy Tale Fights on PSN. I thought it was a little innocent game, and that maybe I can let my 3 year old watch me try it out. So when I started playing and got a hold of my first weapon and started attacking..... GUSH! GUSH! GUSH! SPLASH! Half my screen is covered in blood:

I find that killing people in the most grotesque way is a reward, when I pop a guy in the head I expect them to have no face and blood to squirt upwards making it embarrassing multiplayer wise, and just something to chuckle about when playing with friends.
ReplyDeleteI can understand when you want to just sit back relax and be in a calm environment but if you notice flashy games like Borderlands are pretty violent, I enjoy games like Limbo and the misadventures of P.B Winterbottom something nice to look at and nice just to play.
Fat Princess as a option to turn all blood into confetti. So there is a explosion of confetti when they die, the battle field is covered in confetti, its pretty funny.

ReplyDeleteI'm using Dragon-Age as a coaster right now, lol. But I was in the process of moving from the end of september till like mid october. with all the unpacking, running around, and applying for jobs I got really busy. But now I'm back. I also been playing some new games that came out (halo reach, fallout new vegas, and final fantasy xiv). awaiting call of duty and assassin's creed.

yup, done! I added u on Xbox and PSN. Although I didn't know how to add a message with the Xbox add. Thats how much I use my Xbox.
