My first midnight launch game: L.A. Noire

I've read and heard about this game in magazines and on the radio so I decided to go reserve this game. As I'm reserving this game the employee tells me there will be a midnight launch for the game. Now usually I blow it off because most of the time its hard for me to stay up to midnight, but my hubby suggested we pick it up at midnight because it was something we never did before. So I thought for a minute and I was like yea.... yea why not... I can do this. So I designed this plan to help me stay awake: I'm gonna jog around the block for 30 minutes then I'll go home and do like 100 pushups with one hand.. (or maybe 1/2 a pushup) next I'll eat a bag of gummy bears, 4 chocolate chip cookies, and drink a red bull every hour... BETTER. a shot of 5 HOUR ENERGY, and hopefully I last till 12 a.m.... just kidding. I know my body will be shocked and crash till Wednesday, but I do want to stay up till midnight. Have any of you stayed up for a midnight launch, and if so got any tips?

  1. Staying up for a midnight launch is tough. But I nonetheless thinks its worth it if your dying to get the game because it becomes easy when anticipation takes over. But its different for some people, I consider myself patient but sometimes it wrecks my head when I am waiting for something that I have already confirmed to myself that it is going to blow my mind. Just watch a lot of trailers and focus on the stuff your going to enjoy most, then come back here and tell me if its any good because I have to wait till fucking Friday to pick LA Noire up!

  3. I stayed up for a few. I remember when Gears of War 2 released i went to that one here in Vegas. People were shivering and complaining how cold it was. I'm from Wisconsin originally so i was laughing at everybody. It wasn't cold it was 50 degrees in November at Midnight! You guys see the reviews L.A Noire is getting so far? We look smart we knew it was gonna be a winner!

  4. @ adam I'm sorry you have to wait but it is so worth it.

@ oliver I am looking forward to Skyrim also, another midnight launch I might be going to.

@ Jason then you would be laughing at me too, I'm one of the ones that will be complaining if it was 65 degrees, I'm used to country weather it has to be 76 degrees and above, lol.
