Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011: This is such a hard sport

I'm not big into playing sports games, but I loooooove me some golf. Although I was debating whether or not to get this game because I had a high disappointment for what Tiger Woods did..... maybe I'll just stop drinking gatorade because I can't tear away from this golf game.

This has to be one of the hardest sports to play because there are so many elements to look out for like the wind (which pisses me off all the time), elevation, where the ball is, picking the right club, and knowing how much power and which direction to shoot the ball. Now I got putting down to the tee, and I can do a little driving, but my accuracy SUCKS! I can't hit the ball close to the pin if I wished for it. I'm always doing 15+ feet of putting, or pitching from the sand or deep grass.

  • I tried my first online experience and may I just say I don't need to be playing online I'm just embarrassing myself. I challenged somebody for the first time and this person got an Eagle while I was putting for a triple bogey( I could feel the laughter from the other side of the network). So I guess for the next 10 years or so I'll be doing thumb push ups and brushing up on my what golf club does what, then I'll be ready for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2021

Blur: One cool racing game

This is our first racing game in years. My hubby downloaded the demo and was totally hooked on it. I didn't know how far a multiplayer demo can go but he made it seem like he didn't need to buy the game... So I went and bought the game for him anyways because I'm 100 percent sure there is more in full game than the demo.

The employee at gamestop told me he thought ModNation racers was better because you get to build your own tracks and characters. I took it upon myself to see the differnce.

First of all if I were to walk into a game store for the first time and saw both of the covers I would have automatically chosen blur because I would have thought ModNation racers was more kiddy-looking but its not as bad as I thought. I played the demo and I thought it was kind of "cute" but that's it.... meaning I wasn't in awe with it. Now blur was a different story. As my husband described it looks like a cross between Mario Kart and Midnight club. I can't find the exact words but Blur has this cool look to it, and I love how laid-back the music is. It's just enough to make me wanna take a midnight stroll. I also like that you get to use real cars with real attributes, and have the ability to use special attacks on other racers. Now don't get me wrong I don't think ModNation racers is a bad game its just that I'm not interested in building racing tracks and Littlebig planet already has won me over with famous game characters .

Here's a little comparison:

So many games to finish before Fall/Winter

Now that I beat most of the games I wanted to play, I have so many games I need to finish since 2008 from just about every system: PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, and Nintendo DS,sad huh.Why aren't I able to finish a game I just bought, but go out buy another game and beat that one in like 2 weeks.... and then buy ANOTHER GAME instead of finishing what I started a couple weeks back. Besides I need some games to play in my downtime until the Fall/Winter time comes, the time that the best games are coming out. So in the meantime I will be playing one of my older games to past the time:

Lost Odyessy
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Elder Scrolls IV : Shivering Isles Expansion
Mirror's Edge
Sims 3
Guild Wars, Factions, Eye of the North
The Last Remnant

White Knight Chronicles: Review

From my game play this isn't one of the best RPG's to play especially if your deciding to try an RPG for the first time. At first when I started playing  it was okay, at "that" time .If the game continued like I thought it was going to be I would have gave it a 7 out of 10…..WRONG!!!!!!! After a few more days of playing I decided to give this game a 4 out of 10. This game was shorter than I thought it was going to be. I don't know what it is but it seems like RPG's are getting shorter and shorter. I can say that the multiplayer may be the best thing out of the whole game. You have the ability to join missions with other players and on top of that you can build your own town  in the Georama, but that alone didn't even change my mind about the score of this game and it is not changing my mind about trading it in for some good 'ol edge card credit. Here is how I break down the elements that I find important in a game:

Story: I liked the story . It does a great job of building up the suspense. Well its not exciting where your at the edge of your seat but it has that "I just want see what happens next" feel.  This is the one element of the game that actually kept me playing. If the story happened to be terrible  then I would have sold this game for credit quickly.

Characters: The characters were decent, not very exciting I mean not even the villains  were as "bad" as  you think they are. Although I did like how Grazel summoned the Sun King with coolness.  The character I did like was Caesar. He was your laid-back funny man, and funny-dressed in the beginning (see image to the left).

Music: Most of the music is boring to me.  I did like the song that was played when a boss battle was happening, and I did like the piece that was played when we were in Dogma Rift

Graphics: I can say the graphics in this game were very vibrant, so vibrant that sometimes you can't  find where to dig for materials sometimes if it were available.

Controls: The controls were very easy to work with. I can say the only thing I would change is using the L3 R3 buttons for giving commands. I think it would have been easier to have a dropdown box instead.

There are a couple pros to this game, he graphics being one of them. I like the option of making your own combos. There are so many moves to make so many different combos. The knights were a cool part of the game also . It seems every time you turn into a knight everything is easier, but the looks of the different knight s was the best thing, plus the characters changing into the knights kind of remind you of the first every power ranger series……. What don't act you didn't watch power rangers.

The con's , and there is one con specifically that outweighed the whole idea of this this being a nerve racking game. The number 1 reason I gave this game a score of 4 out of 10 is because it…. Was….. So….. REPETITIVE!. It had the same monsters in every explorable area, oh but it gets worse every time you turn the corner they are in groups  of 3, and as soon as you beat that group 5 more steps and there is more!!!!!!! I guess the idea of changing the element of the creature makes it different but it doesn’t. A spider is still a spider, and elemental is still an elemental ok stop it. There was one area in the game called Van Haven waste , it was a complete frustrating  and a very annoying explorable area. Along with the repetitive enemies there are also big beasts which take more time, and the annoying part is they put two in one area…. So close together…..blocking where you need to go.  The next thing that mad me upset was when in action and you get knocked down, it take an infinity years for your character to get up like they are super hurt or something. I'm tryna get that hit in before the enemy busts my butt again. In addition to slow attacking I hate when you pick a certain move for the knight to do and they have to pose for the move, its like "Hurry and hit before they hit you".

Overall the story, battle mode, and a little bit of the multiplayer saved the game from bombing completely. I only liked playing the multiplayer if I was playing with someone other than that I really didn't care to much. I like that you are able to choose from swords, bows, staves, axes, and spears along with divine, and elemental magic. Putting some combos together along with the summoning the knights can make battles a little fun…. But not a lot.

White Knight Chronicles: I had it with this game

A part of me is so sick of this game. Since the last time I posted I am still fighting the SAME DANG ENEMIES!!!! Spiders, Lizards, Jackals, and not only that they always come in groups. You would think each new explorable area had different more exciting creatures to fight (oh a dragon in between, whoop-ti). Oh and I forgot I guess a fire lizard is a much different beast than a regular lizard.... oh and since we are traveling in the snow we'll fight an ice lizard *sarcasm*, ITS STILL A LIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing that is keeping me playing this game is the story because its getting better. People who you thought were your friends are stabbing you in the back, and it always seem like someone else on your team has something to hide...hmmmmm. I'm pissed right now because the game just froze on me AGAIN. This is like the third time it froze. I don't know if it's the game but I would not recommend buying this game, rent only, or borrow. Save your 50, 40, 30 dollars you won't even get much for a trade-in if you buy it anyways. Can anyone say gamefly.

White Knight Chronicles: The new game I started playing

I'm sure everyone has heard about this game and all the hype it was getting (trust me there is no hype). As soon as it came out my hubby wanted to get it so we purchased it and he started playing, and about a few days later he got bored with it. Now let me tell you first he is not the one to finish rpg's to end, I don't really think he likes rpg's as much as I do and that he only plays it because he "thinks" he's gonna like it. Every RPG he started before me I have finished . But I can say I can see why he got bored with it so quickly. This game so far is so repetitive, and by repetitive I mean going back and forth to the same places so much and fighting the same monsters over, and over , and over, and over, and over, and over..... well you get my point right. Its like you fight 3 ice lizards in this area, turn the corner and there are 2 more and if you happen to come back to this area in the next 3 minutes they all have respawned.....*sigh*. Me, I'm a dedicated RPG player and I finish RPG's to the end whether I finish it in 2 months or 2 years . Heck I beat Final Fantasy XII a month before Final Fantasy XIII came out  and I had Final Fantasy XII when it came out, lol, but beat Final Fantasy in a month..

Anyways I always find at least one or a few things  good about an RPG whether its the characters, weapons/armor, graphics, or music but I will explain all that when I do my review post after I finish the game. In the mean time I think I will conclude this post, get my mini corn dogs out the oven and start playing/

Red Dead Redemption: Review

Red Dead Redemption has to be one of the best games of 2010. The one thing I like most about this game was the era of the wild wild west. I don't know if it is just me but I love games that have a setting in one of history's past. It gives the sense of how life was back in those times. When I mount my horse and go riding, I find myself enjoying the plains full of cactus, and wildlife while gazing upon the sunset behind the tall mountains that stand in a clear river bend.

The graphics are spectacular in this game. When I play this game I feel like I am looking at pictures taken in a magazine. The voice acting was incredible as well. The actors/actresses really captured the accents of how people spoke back in those times.

The controls to the game were just slightly difficult when it came the dead eye mostly (holding down aim, holding down the r3 button, while pin pointing your targets, and then shooting........... whew) that is why I didn't do dead eye so much, but it was cool as heck I tell you that. *pow* *pow* *pow* sucka! Also (I might haven't known about it) but there isn't quick buttons for weapons I have to keep pressing L1 and selecting. The last thing was I couldn't figure how to keep riding the horse and shooting people around me. They say the horse can stay on the trail............ my horse didn't.

I love a good story and I feel like that is the number one thing that will get me interested in the game. This was a great tale and I feel like a book should be written for this game, maybe the events of John Marston when he was in the gang. I can express again how clever it was that Edgar Ross was using John to kill his own gang, and then setting John up for his death soon after.

I liked that there were tons of mini stuff to do in the game, like the fun games that were presented: poker (which I got so addicted too), blackjack ( I swear the dealer was cheating), five finger fillet....(I get nervous playing that game, and others along with cool movies, and side quests from strangers, and collecting nature-made items to become legend of the west.

The last thing I will mention is the multiplayer. I haven't played the multiplayer really but I read in alot of forums that gangs of people will take on like one helpless person (not playing nice) and I also heard a rant that there wasn't enough female characters or you have to work hard for them. I'm not a big multiplayer person, but I would play if I had somebody to play with just for the fun of it. Overall I give this game a 9.7 because the controls.

Red Dead Redemption: Finally beat Red Dead Redemption

I finished (well only the main game) Red Dead Redemption, and may I say I was in shock at the end of the game. At some points during the game I knew something was gonna happen with John Marston. It just felt funny that since Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, and Dutch was dead that John Marston went off to meet his family and was doing all this pulling together the ranch stuff. But I should have known that the government was gonna come back and get the last leader of the gang. It was clever that the government used John Marston to take out his own gang, but the one question I wanna know is WHY JOHN MARSTON? Why didn't you go to the side of the barn and bust a cap in the side of their heads. I know you could have took them all. You fought twice as many guys in the middle of the game......... *confused*. Oh well I was sad at how John Marston's life was ended. You was a baaaaaad cowboy, quick witted, and had a smart mouth, plus punked everyone who was trying the play you dumb. R.I.P John Marston

Oh after John Marston left the game I put the controller down. There was no way I was gonna play Jack Marston. It just didn't have that cool cowboy feel anymore.

Red Dead Redemption: I caught Bill Williamson yee-haw!

I been playing all day again, but today I was playing most of the main game instead of side quests. I can't believe De Santa betrayed me but then again he was kind of acting funny (him and his little gay host), but I finally caught Bill Williamson (YES). at first it was a challenge but then my husband was like "can't u use your dead eye" and I was like "oooh yeeeea" so on that turn *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* I took out all four horses at once... it was so sweet. I got mad though because I thought I could hogtie Bill and my partner shot him.... WELL if he was suppose to die anyways I wanted to be the one to shoot him in the head! Anyways I ended the night finding the fastest horse in the game, good because the other ones sucked. I'm still trying to win a game of blackjack, I swear that dealer is cheating. Oh well it will be a fresh day tomorrow :)

Red Dead Redemption: I passed to the Mexican border

So I finally hit Mexico where all the good stuff is, lol. For some reason I knew that the outlaw was gonna cross the border when we entered the fort. I had fun with the machine gun, and looting tons of dead bodies. I like how smartass the main character is. He makes me laugh when he's punking out people. I tried playing a game of blackjack.... I swear the dealer is cheating, sometimes I just wanna pull out my gun and..... well you know but I want to stay the good guy. Heck every time I accidentally do something wrong I have to quickly load my game because I always try to be the most perfect good guy......boring isn't it.

Red Dead Redemption: I have a gambling addition

I'm so addicted to the gambling games on Red Dead Redemption. Of course you have to win some games to unlock costumes but I don't care about the costumes I like to WIN MONEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!. Other than that I am learning to hog tie people instead of shooting them (although that is what I love to do best) to earn extra cash (and honor of course). I'm so hooked on this game its ridiculous. Haven't decided if I want to try the DLC yet, it may be a possibility in the future.

Red dead Redemption: Red Dead Redemption

I got Red Dead Redemption yesterday and I fell in love with it after the first scene. First I would like to say I love the whole cowboy era. It is kinda cool playing a game like this because I feel like I see what it was kinda like back in those days. 15 dollars for a doctor bill, shoot warp me back to those times. I'm a little ways through the game. I get side tracked on the mini-games. I love to play five finger fillet, and I am SO HOOKED on poker. I didn't know how to play at first but when my hubby explained to me how to play I didn't want to stop playing and I was getting so greedy when I was collection change around the table... yaaaaa. but anyways I'll post more updates on my future gameplay.

Fallout 3:FINALLY, I beat Fallout 3 expansion "Broken Steel"

After many freeze-ups and anger in this game I have finally beat the expansion pack broken steel, and let me tell you it was HELL. The Enclave with those long range fire weapons and the Heavy Incinerators were were tearing me apart, but I was SO LUCKY, let me say it again, SO LUUUCCCKKY, to have my super mutant friend Fawkes with me. When there were tons on Enclave  and my armor was broken I hid while Fawkes took the heat, I know it was wrong but what else could I do and he is following me for a reason, so ...............I ain't in the wrong...........am I? Anyways there are other expansions I didn't beat yet but I have many other games I haven't finished yet. Hmmmm what should I play now?.

Guild Wars: OMG this is a hard mission

We've been on this mission for 3 hours to defeat Murakai, Lady of the Night who is supposed to be a hard boss knowing that she can wipe out an entire party with one move.

This is the Cathedral of flames, it is a three level dungeon with few charr (more dead), spirits, and enchanted weapons. We died I don't know how many times I lost count after 50. Now it is 9:09 p.m. and we are stuck defeating a sub-boss to get the key to the last boss, but with the amount of minions around her we could be up all night. I want to stay up and finish but I must rest so I can work out in the morning, but at the same time I don't want all this hard work to be in vain.... arrrrrrgh what to do!

Guild Wars: My Guild Wars Eye of the North adventure.... so far

No, I'm not playing World of Warcraft like everyone else. One reason being is we have to pay monthly and I already have so many monthly things coming out my bank account I can't keep up with. So I am playing Guild Wars... its free and its fun. Here are a list of my characters I have created since the time I bought this game in '05:

The character I'm playing with now is my Necromancer/Ritualist. I love having these two jobs because I can summon minions and spirits.

This is my Paragon/Warrior which I have gotten really far, actually to the end of the Nightfalls campaign. I haven't caught the grasp of being a paragon yet as far as making a good skill build, I'm lucky I made it that far.

Out of all the characters I have I say this is the hardest to play for some reason, Assassin/Ranger. I haven't played the Factions campaign in a minute and some of the builds I was trying to make are impossible because the elite skills I need are from other campaigns and that sucks..................

This is the first ever character I ever made when I started playing... (oh wait no it wasn't) but anyways, every time I start a game that has job classes I always pick a warrior I don't know why, I guess I like bashing enemies to let off some stress.

My last character is a Mesmer/Elementist. I really don't play with this character oftten in fact I'm at the very beginning with this character. I guess I'm just trying out different job classes to see what's the coolest job, and so far I like my Necromancer/Ritualist because summoning extra people is G-R-E-A-T, and if you do some of these missions you will see what I am saying.

Welcome to my game blog

I'm so excited this is my first game blog. I'm not a hardcore gamer although I have my games that I take seriously (Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Assassin's creed) to name a few. I hope I can connect with other gamers like myself :).
